sewnsewsue 05-05-2014 04:33 AM

Did you add in a very slim piece of black between the large light and the corner square? It really adds a lot to the look!

petpainter 05-05-2014 05:02 AM

I REALLY love it!!!! The colors, pattern, everything!

lubberfarmgirl 05-05-2014 05:10 AM

quilter68 05-05-2014 06:13 AM

A delightful color combination! I think that you picked the best pattern for these fabrics. Your placement of the lights and darks makes it shimmer. This is going to be a beautiful quilt.

(Please don't over quilt this quilt.)

cpcarolyn 05-05-2014 06:19 AM

It is a form of paper piecing but you sew on the fabric side and not the paper side. I also found a tute for without paper piecing, but I didn't think my cutting/sewing skills would be adequate to do a good job that way.

Your color choice makes this much more striking than the urban lattice quilt shown on the website. I absolutely love the modern look.

All I can say is WOW I love it

yes. 1/4" black between the corner green triangles and the trapezoids. The tutorial I found showed it without, but I really like it this way.

wantanaquilt 05-05-2014 10:16 AM

Beautiful looks like jewels.

BizyStitches 05-05-2014 10:55 AM

Yes I think it will work, how big are you going to make it? Nice combo of color

pjnesler 05-05-2014 11:41 AM

I think it's working just great! such depth in your color choices. :):)

quilterpurpledog 05-05-2014 11:56 AM

Spectacular is my word for it. Great color combination and I love the variety of greens and grays you are using. I'm so glad contemporary designs are making a showing in the quilt world. Whether a cozy grandma era quilt or a modern one it is still warm, and comfortable. Great job and am looking forward to the finish.

redquilter 05-05-2014 12:30 PM

If it doesn't work for them, it sure works for me. I'll send my address! :)

For a king sized bed. Right now I have finished 64 blocks. Not sure if 96x96 will be large enough though.

caspharm 05-05-2014 04:07 PM

Very cool! I think it will be great!

MargeD 05-05-2014 07:03 PM

I think that is a totally awesome quilt - they will love it.

suzanprincess 05-05-2014 11:56 PM

When I read grey and green I though "Ugh, how dull" until I saw your interpretation and thought "WOW! Gorgeous!"

Joni 05-06-2014 01:37 AM

I really , really like it. It does something to my head.

MYWR 05-06-2014 04:38 AM

That is beautiful - Quite dynamic and certainly one of a kind - ! It is quite artistic - you should be proud - and of course they will love it!!

Freckles48 05-06-2014 06:24 AM

It almost looks like you are looking thru' bevelled glass squares onto a green outdoors.

nwm50 05-06-2014 09:58 AM

Looks like stain glass! Very pretty!

juneayerza 05-06-2014 09:47 PM
