Project Linus quilts for a local family

4 Attachment(s)
I am the the North Wales coordinator for Project Linus, which I love doing but I have a very local family who's has four children two of whom suffer from Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/ehlers-...roduction.aspx so I am busy making them some quilts, for all four as you can't leave any out now can you!

Tyler who has just turned 10, has ginger hair which suits his temperament :) so he is getting the skull and crossbones one. His older brother Jason, who is 12 and has EDS I am making an animal print and Pirates one in the same pattern, Fractions quilt, as it is so easy and fast to do. Ellie his youngest sister, who is 3 and also has EDS is getting the fairy one and her older sister Jodie who is 7 is getting the ballerina quilt. I hope they will like them.

How do any of you make Wheelchair quilts, as the Mum as asked to 2 for their wheelchairs, any tips or patterns would be greatly appreciated, as where we live we have cold winters and they will be needed.

What a beautiful thing you have done for this family. The quilts are super and I am sure that they will love them. God bless you and them. BrendaK

For wheel chairs, I attach ties on cormors so they do not slip off

Those are wonderful Project Linus quilts - love how each is personalized for each of the children.

Great job on all of those! For my Mom's wheelchair I made the quilts about 40"x 46" and put ties on the top corners to tie around the chair arms. I also attached a pocket that was just attached at the top and hung away from the quilt so it was easier to get things in & out of for her. I also backed them with flannel for warmth but also so they didn't slip off her legs so easily.
