I love both of your projects. I haven't done the stained glass technique yet but I got a pattern a couple days ago so I can try it. I think it should be fun!

I didn't really use a pattern. Started with a piece of muslin for foundation and then cut center piece so it is 5 sided. The black strips are 3/4". Just do "flip and stitch". Did one round of black then one round of scraps. When it covered the muslin I trimmed it and added fabric for the rest of the tote. One thing I did on this bag that really worked was cutting 2 pieces of fusible decor bond the size of the bottom. Fused them on top of each other and they made a nice heavy/stiff bag bottom. Think I'll be using that more often.
Thanks for all the compliments. For those who have asked, the pattern name is, I think, on page 2 of the comments.

if you go to <http://www.merrysstitchins.com/shop/...W-patterns.htm> click on the Patchabilities logo and then on new patterns. Down near the bottom of the page is the "Wrapped in Love" pattern. This website is for the quilt shop owned by the mother of the pattern designer (per info on the back of the pattern). Hope this helps.

These are lovely. I especially like the heart hanging but the other is also great.
