My husband built everything including the legless table for my machine and all the shelves. I painted it white and found the wall paper border for $1.oo clearance at Wal Mart. He even made the bulletin board out of some old cork board and I covered it with the pink polka dots. It's a small room. Only 4x6. Use to be a closet Now it's my woman cave. LOL :)

The colored containers across the back in the cubby shelves are huggies baby wipe containers from years ago. They made them to look like huge lego blocks. When our now 11 year old was a baby that was the brand I used. I saved them thinking someday they just might come in handy. When he built those shelves he measured the containers so that the middle shelf would just nicely hold them.

Make you want to go in and refuse to come out until you've produced something pretty!

WHAT A GREAT PLACE TO SEW!

Lucky Patsy's 02-20-2008 10:26 AM

Uh. oh! If it were mine, I wouldn't get any sewing done, 'Cause I would be sitting in it, admiring it all the time!

imaquilter 02-20-2008 10:50 AM

That is AWESOME! It may be small but, it looks very functional to me! What a great hubby!

skacian 02-20-2008 10:52 AM

Wonderful area to sew in....everything so neat, organized and close at hand....love it!!

I love your woman cave also. It's darling! Just one note, however, your sewing machine oil needs replaced because it has turned yellow (if the picture color is accurate).

I also would want a lock on this treasure room (inside and out)!

:!:

oh my gosh,
How in the world do you keep it so neat? It is beautiful. I have a kinda large room. It was our screened in porch and my husband had it closed in and added 4 windows. He did all of the inside himself. I have a door going to the outside and a door seperating me form the rest of the house if I so choose, and belief me sometimes I do choose. I am a care giver for my 81 yr.old Mom. who has Macular Degeneration and a partial hip replacment. This is my CAVE when the inside door is closed unless it is extreme then I am left alone.
The decorating in yours is so soothing. Have fun

I remember the Huggies wipe containers, but back when I used them they only came in the primary colors, but still have some somewhere with odds and ends in them.

Room looks awesome!

Those containers were great!!! I used to get them for my first child. We put toys in them and she played with them. Then as the years went on, they just got broke and we only have one left. I had left it at my dad's house.
Your room is cute and organized great!!!
