yes all the white strips were 1 1/2 inch and the rest are between 1 1/2 inches and 2 1/2 inches

Thanks, I asked my son (a teenager) if he were to give this quilt a name what would he call it and he replied "mum, its a bit psychedelic" so thats what I decided to call it. Theres nothing like asking a teenager!

I did think about using muslim, but decided to go the cheap route of using something I already had on hand, and newspaper was what I had, I was also a little concerned about the weight and quilting it if I used muslim and then also used minky to back it. It probably would not make any difference really. I used a paper cutter for cutting my paper blocks and it was pretty quick, it was a labour of love ripping the paper off, but I made sure my stitch length was short so it came off very easily, and in a weird way it was therepeutic ripping off all that paper!
