This little piece started out as a practice FMQ for hooked feathers. Well, I sorta lost track of time and this is what I ended up with.....
I love it! It's a bit like a caterpillar, too!
It looks gorgeous. I love the hooked feathers. I could backtrack on the bump bumps well, but the hooked feathers are so much more interesting. It is so cool how you colored them.
it looks very fresh and contemporary.
i enjoy the hooked feathers for that very reason. it such a modern take on the traditional victorian feather designs. |
Light and airy........lovely.
Someone had been very busy. Hope you have thread left..LOL |
Beautiful work and colors
That is beautiful. I love the colors. Great job and thanks for sharing.
Cute!
Lovely work! I love it (them?)!
It looks elegant! Love the light, airyness of it.
Is that applique or did you color it in? The colors are vibrant! There is a whole lot of stitching on that section, a lot of tedious work, but the results are amazing.
The color comes from "Inktense" pencils. Unlike regular colored pencils, these are actually ink. I use clear aloe gel instead of water, once the ink drys it is permanent...They are made by Derwent
Beautiful...very original and very cleverly done. I wish I could "lose track" of time so beautifully.
thank you
that is great
So creative.
Great FMQ......very refreshing and lively!
Wow...that sure is pretty! Great job at FMQ. I would have never thought to color or dye an area like that. What a great idea!
Very cool....The title caught my attention b/c my fav color is purple and one of my dearest friends and I call each other "peapod" so I was wondering what the combination held....I love it!!! :)

It amazes me when I see evidence of such talent on this board. Thank you for sharing yours.
