Rose Marie, The first one is really cute. It looks like your quilt inspector is looking for his/her name in the quilt!! Eiltcoq.

That is an awesome quilt and I love how kitty loves it too.

Ramona Byrd 03-23-2010 08:32 AM

Well maybe your kitty would share his quilt with a Dobie?
==================================
Ours always did. In fact, they got along so well that we had them
stay together when we boarded them, to the shock of the Vet!!!

They slept together (on MY quilt) since they were family, only
fur children.

OK, guess my earlier post didn't work. So excuse me if it went elsewhere, but I'll try it again. This is my first time trying to include a photo.
I made this queen size quilt for a grand daughters 14th birthday a couple years ago. It's mostly purples and green (Ashley's favorite colors). But some of the purples show up blue in the photo.

MaryAnna 03-23-2010 05:33 PM

I think this is a wonderful thread and what gorgeous quilts! Just as lovely as those who received them!
Kind Regards,
MaryAnna

It is called "Amish Wedding Ring". But I didn't tell my Brian that! He's just happy the colors matched the motif in his room . I found it in the Encyclopedia of Classic Quilt Patterns (Leisure Arts).

Thank you for asking.

:)

Devan's Scrappy Diamonds

My son, Devan, chose the pattern and the colors for his quilt.

Notice how it "matches" his room!

This is my husband, me and my beautiful (in so many ways) niece. This was for her graduation from high school last year.

MillieH 03-23-2010 11:07 PM

Maybe I'm watching too many CSI shows. Some of these shots of people wrapped (asleep?) in quilts are creeping me out!

pam1966 03-24-2010 03:55 AM

These are all such great pictures!!!!

zkosh 03-24-2010 02:44 PM

Dani,
I love your quilt and it looks like your niece does, too.

MillieH,
Definitely too much CSI!
And no Criminal Minds for you, either!LOL

MillieH 03-24-2010 05:15 PM

I was laughing at myself for even thinking that (CSI). These are all so beautiful--and great color choices.

argranny 03-24-2010 06:01 PM

I have always taken pictures of the quilts I made and hopefully with the people I made them for too. I keep a quilt diary, so I can always see what I have made before.

those are all beautiful and I am so sorry about your loss. Penny

jljack 03-25-2010 03:25 PM

I LOVE seeing all these quilts. I have pictures of all my quilts, but NOT with the people who got them!! That changes how I'll do it in the future. Thanks for a brilliant idea, and all these delightful pictures!!
