I sort of made it up as I went along..I have done 3 now like this and each I just do a little bit differently..I had first used the Towne Bag pattern and did that and loved it then when I went to make another I started changing it so much that it is no longer similar to that pattern

Gorgeous bag!! The button is fine. Something else that might work is an antique-looking metal button.

will have to wait til I switch bags lol too lazy to take everything out and take pic..but will do some pics soon..actually have 3 on each side..nothing fancy

I found a really simple way to solve this one its a pattern that makes this nifty holder you just move from one bag to the next and it has a lot of pockets. :-D

yes I have seen a pattern on line for one of those..really a good idea...might have to give it a try
