I had so much fun putting this purse together. The fabric was purchased during the St Louis Shop HOp this past weekend. Being from STL...I had to have some!

The flowers and straps really set it off too!

Nice bag. How are the straps put on? I've seen them, they look like leather. Are they sewn on?

fred singer 04-02-2012 04:35 PM

The strap has two sets of double holes that I hand sewed to the purse. One set of the oles are under the flower buttons.

Thank you for the nice comments everyone.

No, I didn't, but if I had known about it I would of tried to make it.

The list of shops that carry the fabric is on the shop hop website. Www.stlouisshophop.com.

Thank you, Sandygirl, I had not "caught on" that the toile was the focus fabric of the shop hop. I do go to a couple of those shops.

Perfect bag!

It is actually a Batik tho I agree, it looks like Toile.

I Love it!!

Sandygirl - Your purse is beautiful. I have never seen a batik like that. You were lucky to find it. Somewhere in my stack of things to do is a set of handles like that. You make me want to put them on the top of the heap.
