well I have at last had time to use my new janome 1600p. after having to diagnose stitching problems (it wouldn' pick up stitches, bured neadle), WOW as you can see from the pictures my 2 machines together.
on the left is my Bernina on the right my new Janome. well as the heading says it is like going from using a push bike to a harley. even on a low speed and only just a little pressure on the foot peddle it is still much faster than my Bernina, I can see myself getting so much more done in less time, WOW I love it Bernina & janome |
You will love that Janome!

You lucky duck!
|
Isn't the one on the left a Bernette? That is an entirely different line than a Bernina. Glad you are enjoying your new machine!
|
Good luck with your new toy!

I have the same Janome & love it. It is a real workhorse. I do call it my "left handed" machine because it seems I have to do all of the feet, bobbins, etc with my left hand- just something to get used to. I love the sound it makes when I am sewing fast!
