Love how you left the last piece to the puzzle laying on the border!

What a neat quilt. I especially like the block you added in the border.

I couldn't find a pattern, especially not one with end pieces, so I designed my own in Excel (sheet attached). At the time, I didn't have the $ to afford the border fabric, so it was put on hold. Well, full time over-minimum wage job later, I bought the fabric and finished the top. The border fabric color was inspired by my floor, since I loved how the quilt looked on the wood. I appliqued the blue piece onto the border. It was my 2nd applique piece and overall I'm really happy with it. Now to quilt it!

Attached are 2 pictures of the quilt, the Excel sheet where each square = 1" finished, and a JPEG picture for anyone who can't DL the Excel sheet.

I was asking a question and if I had read better the answer is there. Sorry

Great quilt...you should do a tutorial on how to use Excel for this...I wouldn't have thought to do that....very nice!

They finish at 8" x 8". I think in the Excel/JPG files I highlight the boundaries of the block, so it's easy to see who goes with what

That's a good idea. I love using Excel and Paint to design. So much more free than some of the other programs :D :D
