Question about quilting colors

2 Attachment(s)
Here is a picture of a wall hanging I'm working on. I quilted the off white colored triangles using the same off white color thread. Now I'm ready to quilt the pink tulips. I want to use pink on the tulips, but what do I do with the back? Should I do pink there too, or leave the off white thread in the bobbin?

I really like your pink fabric...

I have a hard time getting my tension perfect so I generally match both threads. If you have no tension issues, I think it would be nice to have pink on front and white on back.

Sorry I vote to quilt your tulips in pink
and either colour will work for the back
White you will not see it
Pink you will have some interest on your back
Your quilting is very good... so pink would work

I like the idea of pink on the back. It will make it look like a two-sided wall hanging. JMHO

I would keep the off white in the bobbin as long as your tension is ok.

I think having the pink design, on the back, will look really nice! It'll be like having a reversible quilt!

I ended up doing SITD around the tulips, using pink in the bobbin too. I really like how it turned out. I'll take another picture when I'm done. Now, what about the border? I'm really new to quilting anything so I don't even know where to start. I've tried FMQ a bit, but it's been a total failure. What else is there?

agreed! i think pink in the bobbin would keep any puckers from the top if there are any tension troubles and you would have some variety on the back. its all a matter of personal preference! either way the block is stunning!
