I have two quilts on the go, but I just haven't been able to get into them lately. I look at them and just have ZERO motivation, so I decided to do a quick "something" to get my groove back - an e-reader case it is! I got it for Christmas and knew I wanted to make a case for it eventually. This one took an hour or two, and it's got pieces of that corrugated plastic sign stuff (you know, the garage sale signs or whatever) in the front and back of the pouch part, as well as two layers of cotton batting (one layer of batt quilted to each piece of fabric - outer and lining - separately, pillowcased, with plastic put between). Makes for some thick seams, and tight sewing since you can't sew through the plastic, but it's solid and sturdy, it will protect my e-reader, and look pretty doing it! :) It was fun to make, and I think I'll be making one each for my mom and mother in law, since they both got e-readers for Christmas too!

This is very pretty and functional. It would make a great gift. Where is this fabric from? I really like the red background.

If I recall correctly, the fabric is Kona Bay? I bought it from a lady who was de-stashing ages ago...so I don't know if it's still in print. I'll check later and see what more info is on the selvage.
