My department usually exchanges small gifts for Christmas. In honor of our new hobby, my wife and I made Baked Potato Bags to give to everyone. We thought the fabrics were perfect for kitchen duty. Here is the link to the pattern; we made them 12.5" wide instead of 10" wide.

PS: I don't know why the link doesn't post correctly. I copied it directly out of my browser. It is http://web.archive.org/web/20071202190308/ then with no spaces: http://www.atimetostitch.com/potato_bags.htm If you only click one of the above links, you can get the instructions without the pictures. Hope this helps.

How fun! I saw these at the LQS. Wondered if they worked well?..... They said you could use them for warming torillas also. Your friends in the department will surely love these! Thanks for posting the pics!

Hey, what cool gifts.

Gigix12 12-20-2009 06:39 AM

Darren..I went to the site and they no longer download the potato sack...would it be possible to have you post a copy of your pattern. They had a disclaimer about the dangers of fire from too hot microwave so that should be added to the directions.

Thanks

Its me again...I Googled the potato baker and found the instructions....sooo no need to send yours. Thanks for the info. I so enjoy this site and appreciate all the quilters so much.

Gee .... I just love those fabrics you chose for them. It looks like them came out perfect. Aren't practical gifts the best kind to give? You are pretty sure they will use it all year long.

thet no longer carry the site due to fire warning

mom-6 06-18-2010 11:57 AM

It came up for me but no pictures

wesing 06-19-2010 05:21 AM

Mom-6 -

I left instructions on my post that told how to get the pics. When I tried to copy/paste the entire link it wouldn't copy, so I had to break it into 2. I think you can copy/paste one at a time into your browser then press go. The pictures really helped me once I figured out how to get them.
