Just wanted to post a quick couple of pictures of the wallet made/am making. After a helpful suggestion in the main forum, I decided to use a lite heat n' bond to adhere jean material instead of regular interfacing (I don't have reg. interfacing and don't have the time or money to get it right now) - and just wanted to say, I think it was a success! :) The pattern didn't actually call for sewing/quilting over the interfacing, but since it was jean I did anyway so it would be certain to stick.
Anyway, just gonna sew a button on and make a little loopy thing on top instead of velcro or snaps (which I also don't have - yay for thriftiness!) and it will be all ready to give to my MIL for her birthday. Not much, I know, but it's a rather last minute gift and I hope she likes it. :) Pattern found at: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=187229.0 In leui of a cuter button, I cut this one off a pair of old shorts, LOL! Great colors and you did a great job.

I can't believe this. The first little wallet I made was from dark purple material that looks just like yours! I still have it, too. Good job!

Cute!!

Instead of sewing a loop on, you could consider a buttonhole.
