Wow. Your quilt is a piece of art! It is stunning and you did a wonderful job of creating it. Love the fabric. I know it is lilacs and the colors are awesome.

Thanks for all the wonderful comments. I can't wait to get started on a new project so may end up quilting this between the next couple of days and will post the finished results.

This is the sort of project that benefits from having a stash. I'd never have consciously chosen the border fabrics I used for this project, but once the main part of it was together and I started testing border fabrics those two were the very definite choice. It seems to be easier to choose when in natural light, also.

Just in case anyone is interested, I searched for Dina Pappas at amazon.com and found several of her books for sale there, including the one I have for as low as 53 cents for a used copy. They actually appear to have 75 used copies of the book.

Very pretty! I have that book and did some of the projects, and it really is a fun technique to experiment with.
