I bought the panel to a member of this board for $2 or $1, don't remember right now. I modified it and came up with this quick winter quilt for my friend's daughter who is 4 yrs old. I used left over's batting and flannel fabric for the back.
I like it! I need to quilt it but couldn't wait to show it here.

I'm confused as to the original panel. Was it the Cold winter noses or the picture on the right with the red/pink around it? IOW, did you get two panels--one with red/pink around the picture and one without?

The pics are cute. Sorry for asking such a dumb question, but I'm confused as to what you did.

Thanks all for your encouragement. For some reason I can never stick to what I have, some way or another I change things.
To answer justflyingin. I bouth the panel that is blue with the pics at the bottom with a brown sashing. It was a long panel probably to be hung somehow. I cut the sashing out and "applique" the squared pictures onto the borders I had previously added to the top portion of the panel.

To quilt it I go now! My plan is to finish it between today and tomorrow. I'll show it to you if I do.

I finished the quilt and gave it to Emy this little 4 yr old cutie. That night I called her mom and asked if she liked and what she did with it. She put it by the tree in her living room!
I hope she uses it somehow but if she enjoys it that way fine with me.
