Quickies for Project Linus

1 Attachment(s)
These are quick and inexpensive quilts to make for charity. If you buy 3 coordinating fabrics, one yard of each, you can make three tops by just intermingling the pieces.

Great idea..and they all look great

Diannia 04-13-2012 03:33 PM

I've done this several times...even dreamed a couple of weeks ago that I needed to make some of them so I did 2 sets of 3...now to get batting/backing cut and them quilted!

I made about 30 of them last month but by the time I made and quilted them I didn't have the energy to bind them. Thanks for the kick in the butt--guess what I'll be doing this weekend?

These are precious! [Too bad we don't live closer because I LOVE to bind quilts! This little pattern is my favorite for quick quilts. I've used it for baby quilts for eons. I mean, 3 yards of fabric, a few hours & 3 darling quilts? What's not to love?!? I know I mentioned this quilt a while back on this thread. Did I post the pattern or did some people just PM me for it? Another senior minute... LOL!

Bernie--this won't help you this time, but for next time just flip them (birth them) and no binding!

Thank you

Not quite sure who Rebecca is so perhaps you went to the wrong box. However, several people have asked for pattern details. I had a very unclear xerox copy someone gave me but managed to find a link. Like we often do, I did not follow it exactly--especially the quilting--but this will give you the info you need. Hope you enjoy it!

Challys,
thank you for the quick response! I make 10-15 quilts a month for Project Linus and was recently given several bolts of kiddie fabrics. With this pattern I can make lots of quilts before the bolts decide they have a permanent home
