Had lots of fun making this quillow!
Ran out of background colour but you can't really tell another colour was introduced. It's a very pale Moda marble.
Sunglasses at hand an advantage. I love bright colours!
The 2nd pic, the bargello block is the quillow pouch.

OOOOOO, WOW!!! It's gorgeous.....do you think a 5' 5" woman would fit in it? I LOVE it!

AlienQuilter 12-28-2012 06:21 AM

That's absolutely beautiful!

I've been reading a lot of different instructions on how to make a quillow. Did you have any trouble attaching the pouch without having it show on the pieced top? Could you share the dimensions of the quilt? I'm thinking of turning the current quilt I'm working on into a quillow if I can keep the stitching from attaching the pouch from messing up the front.

Very pretty!!! I would love to try to make a quillow some time. I think it is the prettiest quillow I have ever seen also!

I really need to make myself a quillow for my couch. Most of these things are too short for me, and my feet are always cold. I can tuck my feet into the quillow and keep warm.

I agree! One reason I haven't done a quillow is because I hadn't imagined how pretty it could be. Great job.

Hi Betty Jo,

A Quillow is a quilt that can be folded up into a pouch to form a pillow.

What makes her quillow so pretty is that it looks like a regular quilt. A lot of times people will only quilt the pillow/pouch part and use a pretty print for the quilt top (one piece - not pieced).
