Thank you for sharing the information on such a cute quilt. For those of us who are quilters and elephant collectors as well, this is the perfect quilt. You did a beautiful job. An elephants trunk up means "good luck" as I'm sure it was for you as the quilter and your 1st granddaughter who will receive it.

I love, love, love the pink elephants. I wish my DS and DDIL had asked for an elephant quilt for Zoe's first quilt, however Christmas Eve I presented her with a Dragonfly, Butterfly, hearts and pinwheel quilt from McCall's magazine. Lots of small pieces that I appliqued on with Wonder-Under, but the expression of joy on Zoe's face when it was presented to her was worth it all.
