Quilt #3 done
 

I mentioned this before. I have 6 brothers & 2 sisters. Everyone has a quilt except my 4 brothers. I finished quilt #3 today, for 3 of my 4 brothers. I have the 24 9 patches for the 4th quilt done, already. Pattern called Evening star. Will work on what I need to do tomorrow. Of the 3 quilts I sewed 2 1/2 sq triangles together. Wont do that any more. I remember'd sewing 2-- 5 3/8th sq's together. And cutting from corner to corner twice. How much faster that was. After cutting from corner to corner. All I had to do was sq up the 4-- 1/2 sq triangles. All the quilts, I did for my brothers, were of the same pattern. The only thing is the quilts are in different colors.. Oh, this quilt just pops with color. The blues makes it so bright. I really, really like these colors together.

Awesome quilt, you have a large family, I also have 8 brothers and 4 sisters. My mom had 11 and wanted 12 so at 45 she had twins.

Hi Don, Are you hand quilting your brothers quilts? I hope they appreciate all the work involved in making a quilt!! I gave one to one of my brothers and never saw it on the bed. I have yet to give one to my other brother. Maybe next time he comes to visit (from MO) I will let him pick. :-). Ellen
