Or maybe I have the bad attitude. I promised a fund raiser quilt to the local animal shelter (our county has no pound and no budget for animal food at the volunteer stsffed shelter) when my DH got his lovely new orange tabby. Unfortunately, the very nice quilt I planned to give them, which had been nearly finished for about a year, I had already finished and given away, but I forgot about that. I raided my stash and found a FQ with kittens and got started. I have done major quilts with less time and toil. grumble....

DH suggested I show you where I was as of this morning, which is frustrated and annoyed. The kitten in question keeps trying to help me. Grumble again.

The quilt you are making will be lovely when finished. How could it not be with your new quilt inspector on the job.

Thanks.

I put such quilts in Time Out. Seems to help both of us. However, you don't have time for such methods so ... onward and upward!

I quilt on my domestic machine - very basic things - but was doing one for a grandson and it was just terrible - that quilt had a horrible attitude - pure stinking thinking. So into Time Out it went. (In a pile in the corner of the sewing room.) Checked on it today and it wasn't nearly as wonky as I remembered it being so ... out of TIme Out and back to work. :)

I really like it. My cure for frustration is vigorous exercise or a long walk with the dogs.

If you can't make the deadline, tell them so and come up with a way to make up for it. We can only do so much. Your explanation above, that you have accidentally given away the intended quilt, is understandable.

Post pix when you're done. :)

will do. Right now, I have 4 blocks needing embellishment then I start on getting the quilt into shape for a border.

I absolutely agree on quilt time outs, by the way.

If nothing else, this shows that not all my designs are winners.
