Don't really know what to call these. Saw them at a craft/quilt shop and just thought they were adorable! Looked at one and figured out how to make it on my own. Just 2 8x8 pieces of fabric or whatever size you want, a piece of interfacing same size and piece of batting same size. I just zig-zag stitch all the way around edges, sew ribbon on what will be the bottom, bring up corners, stitch, then tie ribbons into bows! and wah-lah! you have a little catch-all or candy basket or whatever!

Now wouldn't those make nice gift boxes for Christmas? Just fill them with cookies for the neighbors, or for a little guest gift. They'd be great to take to shut-ins with a loaf of homemade bread, or even to sick friends with a couple cans of chicken soup. I just may have to get busy making some of these. I could make lots of them and leave them untied (for storage purposes) until I needed them.

Very cute!!!! I saw them too in a shop and thought how cute it would be to make them, but unlike you I was clueless on how to start them (yes, I'm a newbie). Thanks for the info on them.

love love the flat storage idea and the cute little basket catch all.

Say! I have one of those that is made up in Christmas fabric! It was a gift from one of my former Kindergarten students. She put my favorite candies inside. I bring it out every Christmas -- the basket, not the candies!

There was a pattern for these many years ago, I think it was in British Patchwork and Quilting, but they really are simple to figure out!

Those are so cute.
