Just finished piecing this Hunter Star Table Topper. I loved the piecing process but I am stuck as to how to quilt it. For all you Hunter Star pros....do you have a favorite quilting design for this block......my fmq skills are very limited and I don't want to mess this up :)

Very pretty, I've never done one myself. Maybe in the future, lol.

Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Thats really pretty! I haven't done this pattern either. It lends itself to quilting around the red stars and then a swirly type design in the creme and green.....or you could QID ....or you could even cross hatch it after quilting around the red stars....thats how I might do it if I was looking for quick, easy and pretty. Whatever you decide will be really pretty though. Good job!

well I have a black and white that I haven't quilted yet because I'm waiting to be struck with an idea. Did you paper piece or just cut the shapes and piece?

Kathy....it isn't paper pieced...I made it using Deb Tucker's Rapid Fire ruler. I love the ruler....it is so easy to use. Thank you everyone for all your wonderful comments...much appreciated. I have to decided to outline the stars and I found a stencil I am going to use on the green and cream.....hopefully it will all work out. Thanks Again. Barb |

There are a couple here that show quilting on them.... Funny I just ordered and received the ruler and 2 patterns from this site! Yours turned out real nice! |
Barb- that looks great! I made one in the first class I ever took. That said, I was a newbie then and only did a "grid" every 2 inches.
Love the pug baby! What's his/her name? We have Crouton, age 12. Just love them, they have such personality! Barb |
Boy, you are good. I have the ruler from Deb Tucker for Hunter's Star, and have yet to take it out of the package. I am just a skeeredy cat.
