Quilt Display

1 Attachment(s)
I was worried about how to show off my quilts in my new house because we have really large windows and limited wall space. This idea came to me one evening. There are two rooms off this tiny hall and one end is a recessed area just 25"wide and 5" deep. Tension curtain rods to the rescue. No need to add anything to the quilts to hang. And easy enough change as often as I like.

Great space for those quilts! We quilters are super good at figuring out things. I love your idea!

I agree...they are meant to be there. Great idea. Thanks for sharing.

Love this idea...very clever of you! Now you have eye candy for this space.

I use a space behind my eating table. My son put up a long drapery rod for me; he changes out my quilts 2-3x a year and anyone who comes in can see my quilt. He will put up a Christmas quilt next week.

Thanks for the great idea, I have a little alcove in my dining room that I hang seasonal quilts and I am going to try this.

I love this idea and have a space at the end of a hallway. I think I even have a tension rod somewhere from when we moved into our new house and did not have blinds yet. But I am wondering how much weight they will hold.

Mizgoodie 10-30-2018 09:58 PM

I think you just solved a problem for a lot of quilters. What a wonderful way to display quilts in a small space.

Mine are short so they are not extended very much. The top one is a twin size quilt and it's not bending or moving.
