a quilt I finished
3 Attachment(s)
Pattern is called Thorny Crown. From J Martins book Scraps Blocks & Quilts. In my mind I think I did this quilt top before. I ran out of a couple fabric. The fabrics in the quilt I made a couple blocks different. My 2nd picture you will see a example of what I did.In the right corner

That is a beautiful quilt. It looks very complicated from a distance, but when I see it up close, the pattern becomes very clear. You did a great job. I have that book. I need to go find it.

Lovely quilt. Look at 3rd and 4th blocks on second row. I think these have a couple of units incorrectly placed. Perhaps you might want to change before quilting
|
Very pretty quilt and interesting pattern. So many lovely ideas in that book and you make them so beautifully.

Beautiful work! Do you ever sleep? You are so productive.

Hey Don,
Great to see you have posted another quilt. Took me while to find the blocks that were “different”. The quilt blocks look ok and blend in well. I had the same thing happen to me a couple days ago. Not enough fabric in a kit I had purchased about 10 years ago. (This is why we/I should not wait 10 years, but check out the pattern/fabric amounts right away). :-). Anyway, I was very discouraged and set it aside. The next day I looked through my stash and found a perfect fabric to use——and had enough of it. :-). It blended right into my blocks. Yesterday I dove back into it and am almost finished making the required blocks —-(with the additional fabric)—- :-) Ellen |
This is my favorite of your quilts so far. Beautiful.
|
That is wonderful!
|
Nice quilt. It is good to see how to fix little challenges.

I have searched off and on all day, and still don’t see where you used a different fabric. Must be my old eyes. Lol.
