Looks just like my sewing room. Only now I only have one furbaby on my fabric.

Tippy 01-27-2011 09:13 AM

Pretty babies.

Momofthree 01-27-2011 09:16 AM

My cats love to cuddle up in just out of the dryer pile of cloths. I can always tell when they need attention, they will come and lay down on my keyboard or try to climb in front of whatever I am reading, etc.

I have seen a lot of quilters with cats. There must be a link between quilting and cats.

sueisallaboutquilts 01-27-2011 10:21 AM

I agree that there must be a connection b/t cats and quilts.
My take is they both represent comfort :D
Same with our poochie friends!!!

Hi Dawn my dog won't be with for long so I was thinking about getting a cat. I'm worried though because of their claws . Any comments? thanks

What a sweet picture! My friend (in the avatar) sleeps behind me as I sew while her two (cat) friends guard the bed in the other room. Our furbabies ... aren't they priceless?

I have one of those. It comes with the Bernina sewing machine. It can be clipped to the machine for storage and carrying.

I got my cats from the humane society when they were 3 mos old. I don't have a problem with their claws because I got them this scratching tower. They even let me clip their nails.

Grama Lehr 01-28-2011 07:48 AM

Your kitties are so pretty!

sueisallaboutquilts 01-28-2011 08:37 AM

My many years of experience with cats is that some scratch like crazy and some don't.
We reluctantly had ours de-clawed. I really hate that practice though. We were pretty desperate b/c they were scratching everything in sight even though we had all the scratching posts, climbing towers etc.
Only one of ours has her claws but she goes out. She must scratch outside b/c she's really good in the house. I would never let the others out.
