bj 08-16-2008 12:48 PM

Doubly beautiful! Is it a quilt as you go?

Bevanger 08-16-2008 01:01 PM

CissyQuilts 08-16-2008 01:21 PM

Izy 08-16-2008 01:41 PM

Twice the work but more than twice the effect, super Janstar!! :D

Janstar 08-16-2008 01:59 PM

Thanks everyone! Yes it was a quilt as you go bj. It was quite an experience. A quilting pal talked me into putting the checkered strip in the border. I didn't want to cause I was tired of it, but I'm glad I did now.

Butterflyspain 08-16-2008 02:48 PM

That is simply beautiful. Quilt as you go as well, beautiful job

That's a wowser for the bowser too, huh? Really great job. I bet it was an experience. I've always wanted to try a quilt as you go.

Blue Bell 08-16-2008 03:05 PM

Your reversible quilts are beautiful. Love your fabrics. Is this the Cotton Theory pattern?

KellyPA 08-16-2008 03:09 PM

Beautiful!!!! You did a great job on both sides!

beachlady 08-16-2008 03:36 PM

Just beautiful! Love both sides.

sewnsewer2 08-16-2008 03:46 PM

Very pretty and pet approved too!

Janstar 08-16-2008 03:53 PM

Blue Bell, I don't think so but maybe. A lady at our RV park in Yuma taught me how and I really don't know anything about the origin of the pattern. Sorry. Thank you by the way! Jan

Chele 08-16-2008 04:34 PM

Two beautiful quilts in one! So pretty! Your pup looks pretty proud too!

Harmony 08-16-2008 05:25 PM

Aren't you the clever girl!!!!

Kyiav10 08-16-2008 07:10 PM

I love this. It must have taken a long time to make this quilt. Yellow side is my favorite!

Moonpi 08-16-2008 10:09 PM

Great job! How did you manage to get the bindings lined up perfectly?

LovingStitches 08-16-2008 10:19 PM

Wow! Just AWESOME!

Marcia 08-17-2008 07:40 AM

Really neat!!

Janstar 08-17-2008 01:22 PM

Moonpi, You sew strips of fabric that are different widths on a square of batting. When you finish all the blocks you square them up to the size you want, so they fit together very nicely. There's a whole bunch of other stuff to do too. It was several years ago that I did it. Hope I helped a little. Jan

Great work - I would be hard pressed to pick my favorite side. Love them both - thanks for sharing.

Cordelia 08-17-2008 05:04 PM

Jan, I love your quilts, but I just wanted to jump through my computer screen and give your bischon (spell?) a big hug!

gcathie 08-17-2008 07:00 PM

Ditto to what everyone else has said...you've got the seasons done for Spring and fall???? what about winter and summer now????

reneebobby 08-18-2008 03:16 AM

Now that is cool just changes the whole effect of the room.

Quilt4u 08-18-2008 04:17 AM

QuiltinLee 08-18-2008 05:44 AM

A two-fer!! Beautiful job!

AkAngel 08-18-2008 08:40 PM

This is absolutely beautiful and I love the idea of it being reversible.
The dark side for fall and winter and the light for Spring and Summer!
How on earth do you make this kind of quilt?

Beautiful quilt! I love the idea of reversible..you've done a great job with it. I don't have a clue how I would be able to match both sides together to quilt it. I guess the quilt as you go is the secret! Whatever it is, you mastered it!!!

Diane007 07-20-2012 12:20 PM
