I had to replace the light grey in all the squares. It was a king size quilt so I had 36 squares to replace.

I, too, like the repaired one better. Very neat job.

Gosh, it is so great to see such a fabulous repair! When I give a quilt away, I send a "repair" kit in a plastic bag with it. Just some pieces of fabric large enough to fix what needs fixing!

WOW what a great job of repair.

Pennyhal what a neat idea to do this. I usually tell them if something happens I will repair it. But they may not want to tell you. BrendaK

Great Job repairing... My middle son gave me a quilt that his Grandmother made 15 yrs.ago to repair. I am to replace some squares, not to bad of a job. just thinking about it is worse than doing. Also a grandson gave me his quilt that I made him 3 yrs ago to put a whole new back on it. He said he loves the quilt but it has to have a new soft cotton backing again. He also admitted that he and brothers used it.& that they were hard on it... So the repairs keep coming, but only 1 of mine.
