Silly Quilter, Grandmas don't notice that the cream stands out, or that maybe another border would have made it better. She will think it is perfect just the way it is. You did a very nice job on it and I'm sure she will think so too. I'll bet the other grandmas on this board would agree.

Beautiful! Hope she loves it! Made a quilt for my 98 year old grandmother, intricate applique and all hand quilted: she lived with my aunt and after she died I asked for it back and my aunt refused to give it to me!

Grumpy, I'm sorry you didn't get the quilt back, but it seems that your aunt could use some comforting. Let her have the quilt. You have the memories -- that's the most important thing. And that'll give you another reason to buy more fabric to make your own quilt. :lol:

Your Grandmother will absolutely love this quilt....just because it's made by you. I know because my grandson made me a quilt and I really cherish it. I snuggle under it every night while watching tv.
