You did a great thing for Neal. I love the idea with his name on the quilt. He is in my thoughts and hope that Dr.s can help him.

We have a small group bible study, too. We alternate the home in which we will be meeting. And one of the member has cancer of the tonsils. He's finishing with the treatments, but it has been rough. I made him a quilt. Amazing how a quilt is so comforting.

They are quite conforting. I have made a few "comfort" quilts too. They tell me that it is like wrapping themselves up in a hug when the wrap up in the quilt.
Our small group meets at our home. Occasionally when we have a pot luck we may go to another home. We provide coffee and drinks and we let others bless everyone with the snacks.

We meet every other Sunday. When it's at your house then you provide the main dish & the drinks. Everyone else brings a side dish, salad or the dessert. Your way sounds better to me. This way is fun once it's all done, but takes some planning. I like the way you described a quilt as a hug.
