Wonderful work. I hope the bidding for it goes through the roof.

One of my coworkers stopped in and told me they admired the quilt - I asked where they saw it and found out it was on display at the resgistration table at the Museum - so I ran down and got a few pictures.
The silent auction is part of the Friday evening Donor Banquet (Powwow is Saturday). We also have tours and other events going on this afternoon and tomorrow. We usually have 250-300 spectators for this event, and most will be attending the banquet. We have donors coming from all over the US, and often a few international visitors. http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...psianxeft7.jpg After taking that picture- I looked for the label and realized it was hung upside down. The two side designs have a top and bottom, the rest are symmetrical - symbolizing the 4 directions. Anyway, I tried getting a picture of the label, but didn't' realize it was out of focus until I got back to my office. http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...psa4xugdoy.jpg The label reads Seven Sacred Rites of the Lakota Our Lady of the Sioux Chapel Windows St. Joseph's Indian School 39th Annual Powwow September 2015 Made by Cathy Dale, employee |

Well it is so neat to see you I love reading all of your posts and you are so knowledgeable. Wish we were closer, oh well I will enjoy the miracles of the net and be glad that we have met this way. Your quilt is stunning and I hope it gets a good price.

What a monumental amount of work went into that quilt. I'm guessing it brought in a handsome sum.

I got a text message around 9 pm last night. They were very excited to tell me the quilt sold for $1,500. So it did very well to raise money for the school.

Wonderful quilt! Great job! I, too, really enjoy reading your threads on the vintage machines as well as all the pictures of the machines. Wish I lived closer--would enjoy seeing the machines in person!

It's beautiful! Other than it's design (which is fabulous) what is it's connection to a powwow?
