quilt from printed vest panel

Finally! I've had to wait for computer repairs to get this posted but here are two pictures of a throw I made by cutting up a pre-printed panel that would have been sewn into a vest, back in the day when this was popular. I saw a picture posted here on the board a long time ago and thought it was a good use of one those things on my shelf. I did have problems getting the snowman patches and the squares to fit so I had to 'fudge it' a little. If you don't look too close, it isn't that bad!

How clever are you!!! I am sure I have a panel or 2 and am going to do exactly what you did. Thank you so much for sharing. It's beautiful! ~ Pat

Great idea and you made a beautiful quilt from it. I made a few of those vests back in the day! I never would have thought to use a panel like you did - good thinking!

I hope the person who posted her vest panel quilt a year or so ago, posts her pictures again so I can thank her for the inspiration!

That is SEW cute!! Great solution for those old vest panels! I've a good friend in Guild to whom I've given a few of these that crossed my path, I'm going to show this pic to her and get her inspired. Thanks!
