Quilt Sign for Bakery
 

My brother, sil and their children own a wholesale bakery and just moved into a new location with retail space. They are doing great. They are located in Punta Gorda, FL. I will stipple the outer border and then send it off to the post office. Hopefully, they have a wall large enough to display.

That's a custom-made (with love) advertising sign if I've ever seen one! Beautiful and eye-catching!

Thanks for your comments. I posted it on FB and my niece went crazy. Can't wait to get it. Each letter has been blanket stitched and the background fabric are all neutral strips. The border fabric has pieces of cake.

Where are they located in Punta Gorda as I live just north of their and would love to find a good bakery, (and see your quilted sign in person) really miss going to the bakeries in Fall River, Ma when we lived up there.

That is the neatest sign I have seen, you put a lot of thought into this one and it shows. I made a wall hanging for friend who owns "Crab Shack" over on the gulf. Believe one of the hurricanes took it out to sea. Keep working on them.

They also have a hot bar. Most of the recipes are my Mom & Dad's. They owned 2 Italian restaurants that we grew up in. If you visit them, tell them you are from the quilting site. Hopefully, you'll get a cookie.

Is this family connected to the NINO'S Restaurants in Ft Myers where we go. We'll take a day trip up to the bakery
special to see your quilt ---Oh , I guess I should buy some sweets while there !!!!

No Morningstar, my brother only owns this one bakery. Originally from NY where we were born and raised. He then migrated south first to NC and then FLA. He bought this bakery and kept the name of the original owner. Initially, they were a wholesale baker and now he expanded into a new location and added the retail portion of the business.
