I like this pattern. I also like the color combination you used. The quilt glows. Great job.
Jerrie, great idea..yours turned out very pretty!
Beautiful quilt. I think a skinny inner border in red (is it red? sometimes with cameras it's hard to tell) wide outer border in green.
wow!! you two ladies made some great looking quilts! love that pattern
I think your darkest dark for a narrow (your width preference) inner border and your lightest light for the wider (again your width preference) outer border.
Although the outer border could be the color that you would prefer to go on that particular bed. Only my 2 cents. |
You guys have some great ideas..thank you sew much..
Your quilt is lovely, I love your colours
that is so pretty, i would do a one of the white colors so that it makes your other colors stand out and you will be able to see the pattern better, that is a wonderful quilt, great job

Donna8873 what is the pattern for that? I just love it!
Oh! I like this a lot! Did you see the scalloped border tutorial Eddie posted in the tutorials section? That would just compliment this quilt greatly.
Great looking quilt. You do beautiful work.
Love both of them
Donna ~ it looks wonderful
sorry no idea on boarders |
I love it. The pattern and your choice of colors are terrific. What is the name of the pattern? Cuppi
Wow
I would put two borders. A smaller one on the inside, and a larger one for the outer. Maybe a medium and a dark.

This is gorgeous. Did you use batiks? I would do a narrow plain border in a darker color and pieced border using additional DP blocks to form a continuos path around the outside.
WOW, ladies, love your quilts!!!
Jerrie, absolultely love your red quilt, happens to be my favorite color. :-D |
ooooooooo pretty
There are some great ideas here. I love all your quilts. Was it hard to do? Curves scare me.

Second, it is funny that I would see this post, about what kind of border to do - as I just signed up for a free on-line border class! It is with Quilt University - looks like they have all kinds of great classes. I have never taken a class, so signed up for this class especially created to introduce new students to the University - and it's topic is borders! How to decide what to do. Maybe you could sign up for the class too (you get everything in just a few minutes after signing up, and it is made so that it doesn't need high-speed, but can be done on dial up). Check them out: [url]http://www.quiltuniversity.com/registrar_free.htm[url\] Good luck, be sure to post a pic of what you finally decide for your beautiful quilt! |
Wow! Nice work!

The curves were not that bad after I figured out it was easier not to pin them.
That is a beautiful quilt. I would use the gold or red as a boarder. Those are the color that stuck out the most to me.
Very nice ladies.
