What a fine quilt you rescued and finished.

Hi,
Let me start this by saying I did not create this quilt top...except for adding borders. I bought it at a yardsale several years ago from someone that was cleaning out a family members things that had passed on. I just felt that the lady did a nice job and it's pretty so I'd share it with you all. Anyway, it sat in my UFO cabinet until recently when I decided to work on said UFO's (seems to be a January thing for me). I added the borders from the fabric that came with it and actually had the backing fabric in my own stash! I did a simple meander w/star's on it to bring the back and front together so to speak and used the teal to bind it. This will be gifted to my nephew's fiancee's son this coming Christmas...he's 4 and I can't wait to meet him! |
PacMan! I enjoy finishing those treasures done by someone unknown. Kinda like a "new friend"!

I'm sure the original maker is smiling down on you. So glad someone saved this and has a special recipient in mind.

Very interesting.

The quilt is very pretty. I think she would be proud that you finished it. Great job!

What a great quilt with an unusual setting and bright, bright colors. I really like it and how it came out.

Super cool quilt! (I'm a huge fan of those colors, especially in combination.)

Nice find and finish.
