Beautiful quilt - beautifully quilted. One question about choosing thread colors. In the pictures it appears that you have changed colors but on the back it looks like bobbin thread is same light throutghout. Can you tell me about what you did? I always struggle with this. Thanks, Sue

Happy to try and answer Sue,
Yes I did change colors on the front and stayed with the same light color on the back. I used Superior So Fine on the back and 5 different colors of thread on the front. I also struggled with this, but all in all it came out fairly well, I suppose. I do try to match up the thread with the fabric colors. To me it looks good. When I roll the quilt, I try to finish one color, all the way across, then change to another then quilt that color all the way across, and so forth. I always lock the stitches when changing colors. This take quite a bit longer than using just one color, but I think it enhances the overall appearance of the look. I never change colors on the back, I stay with the same overall color. I think it looks better although it is harder to work with sometimes.
I do try and I do study the quilt that I am quilting and try to figure out what I need to do, before I start. I have quilted some quilts with all the same color and they did turn out looking good. I will post one that I made for myself in a few days that is all one color, but I think if I had that one to do over again, I would change colors.
Hope I have helped you some.
Thanks for looking and asking.
Cathy

You both did great. The colors, the pattern and the quilting. Love it.
