Quilt of Valor
1 Attachment(s)
I just finished this quilt of valor. I really struggled deciding what pattern to use, and I ended up using Double Slice Layer Cake from Missouri Star. I really wanted to use something else, as I have made this pattern before for a QOV, but my fabric just looked best with this plan. (I tried Plan A,B, C, D, E, and F first. This is Plan I.)
I suspect I may be too picky. :) Anyway, thanks for looking. This is the third QOV I have made this year, and I plan on making one more. Then I m going back to my preferred color for the next few quilts....purple. :) . This next one may be a rail fence. I hope the plan in my mind looks good and I can go with my first plan this time. Thanks for looking. Dina |
Very nice! Love to see QOV photos!

You’re so funny! “I suspect I may be too picky”. 🤣🤣. Not picky, just have so many patterns to choose from! You know, red and blue make purple, so technically you haven’t deviated from your signature color:).
I like your quilt. The fabrics fit the pattern nicely. |
What a wonderful quilt! Double slice is one of my favorite patterns when needing a quick yet pretty quilt, yours turned out great!

Your quilt is beautiful & will be loved by one of our country's heroes.

Very pretty QOV. A Veteran will love it. I have made several double slice quilts. I have two for our double bed. I just took one off and put away, Got out the other and is on the bed now.

Thanks for the reminder of the Double Slice layer cake. I have a two layer cakes that need to just be put to use and the DSLC oud be perfect. I have used it before and it was so simple and the end result was pleasing.
