The fringy edges on the head were done with fabric paint. The fabric is a brown gradation fabric which I bought at phillipsfiberart. The white had large cranes on it so that also made feather designs on the head and tail. I'm going to do embroidery on the eye with a satin stitch.

I have the ruler but I did not yet buy the book. Your eagle has inspired me.

The wingtips on done with another fabric strip not paint or stitching.
