GORGEOUS!!!

Can we see the back (if you have a picture handy)?

I always like to see the different ways that people handle the joining/back on QAYG quilts.

Thanks.

I quilted this in rows, then joined the rows. Sort of a quilt as you go or maybe quilting in sections. The borders will be done in the same fashion! I very LOOSELY followed Marti Michelle's instructions in her book "Machine quilting in sections"

I've never really seen the end product of a quilt-as-you-go. And this ..... is absolutely gorgeous! I wouldn't have thought you could quilt so beautifully on the sashing itself; isn't the sashing usually tiny? Where did you find instructions for this "construction method" ?

Izy 10-20-2011 03:43 AM

Ooohh I have to say it to you again, it's gorgeous, you were telling me on FB that it is a type of QAYG...can you explain and maybe show us a picture of the back please Melissa??

loo13 10-20-2011 03:45 AM

What a beautiful quilt. You are doing such a great job. I hope I get enough confidence to dowhat you are doing then It would not cost me so much to have someone else do what I ahould be doing......Great Job!

mummadee 10-20-2011 03:48 AM

Absolutely beautiful. Is it hand or machine appliqued, not that it truly matters. It's gorgeous. Things of beauty take time.
