Great job - love the idea of recycling the laundry bag. Good luck with the little one!!

Very adorable and creative. I love how you repurposed the laundry bag for this project. Great job and best wishes for an easy delivery and wonderful child.

That is really cute. Did you have a pattern and if so, do you mind sharing name and number.

You did a great job :) Congrats on the little one to be :)

Thanks everyone for the kind words!
I didn't use a pattern, but based it off of these : http://www.sewdangcutecrafts.com/201...at-canopy.html (for the general concept and the idea of the window - though she doesn't use mesh, just a hole with a flap cover) http://www.ashevillequiltguild.org/A...or%20Linus.pdf (for the quilt itself, but I did the borders in smaller pieces - cut the east/west pieces to 4 pieces and the north/south pieces to 2 pieces to get more colour in) |
Good job! In your climate, the shade this will provide will be great for your little one. I agree that your use of the piece of laundry bag is very clever -- you can think outside the box!
Best wishes on your soon-to-arrive son. Be sure to post pics when he arrives! All QB'rs love babies! |
How clever, I never thought of using mesh for a cover. It will certainly keep the bugs out. You did a great job. I also like the idea of using the leggos. Good luck to you and your family. Enjoy the new little one. I don't envy you those sleepless nights.
