Isn't that the truth. Civil war has it's place tho, not a lot in my quilting, just some.

These fabric in the skirt are old, at least 10 years but still beautiful. I always wash my fabrics to get the chemical out so the fabric doesn't rot and will keep for years.

Is the 2nd tree skirt pattern from "Christmas Traditions in Stained Glass" by Brenda Henning? Her colors are much more monotone in the picture I saw, but the pattern looks identical.

STUNNING......... both are beautiful without question......but seeing the one displayed under the tree....just takes my breath away. It's gotta be the grandest tree skirt around!

Wow! Not sure which one I like better, they are both gorgeous!! You do fabulous work! I love the stained glass effect!

Yes that is exactly the book I worked out of but used my own taste for fabric and used the traditional black leading (bias). I think the black makes it a bit more striking. It was a lot of work. Well time lol.

Those Anna Lee's were a gift many years ago lol and I do love them too. I wish I had more of them but now that I am making dolls, I think I can manage a few of my own style too....
