What a great cottage you have created! I haven't made one, but I really want to. Awhile back I found this link to some designs/kits/patterns (haven't bought one yet ...):

That is so cute! You mentioned that you would not make another one soon. Was it hard or just fiddly? Any construction tips? I have that pattern but am hesitant to start.
Instead of making the leaves as the pattern stated, I used green felt and pinking shears. For each leaf, I cut two leaves out and stitched together on the outside- no turning inside out. Other than that pattern diversion, I stuck to the instructions. The roof is glued to the house per instructions and for this reason I equate the cottage as a sculpture something that can not be handled a lot. Some would say a dust collector but I liked it and wanted to make something different and practice sewing. |

Great job!! and your fabric combination is wonderful! If I had that fabric I would use the exact same combinations. My glass mouse collection would love that home.

This a adorable. I was just searching the web for free applique patterns and found the cutest web site. They have all sorts of fairy accessories: forest scenes, furniture to make etc. Check it out. Sooooooo cute to go with your fairy cottage. More work for you though...................http://weefolkart.com/content/free-patterns-gallery
