Quilted gift bag

I drew my canine loving niece's name in our family gift exchange. The next day, I was at a thrift store and got a yard of a print fabric, adorable puppies in Santa hats! With sparkles! for $1.50! I quilted up the yard, measured her gift & made a gift bag. To keep the dog theme, I got a dog collar at the $ store to use for the handle. I did use a piece of canvas for the bottom.
4" wide 15" high 8" deep Since I had only used a portion of the fabric, I made a storage tote ($ store leash for the handles) 12" wide 7" high 9" deep When I made the storage tote, I boxed the corners & had some off cuts. Too cute to pitch, so I sewed them together & made a little pouch. 6" wide 5" high 2" deep at base When all done, I just had a few strings of fabric left. |

Excellent use of the fabric......three gifts from one yard. Don't know what her "gift" was but the bags are icing on the cake. and using dollar store collars and leashes genius! Gonna borrow that idea for sure.
