Here's a pic of a hotpad I made this afternoon. It's based on a pattern called "Wild Waves" from the "101 Patchwork Potholders" book by Linda Causee. I picked a pattern that could easily be expanded beyond the square shape into a rectangle hotpad that I could use to set hot caserole style dishes on the counter. It measures 8" x 16". The seam between the bottom two rows is a little wonky towards the right end, but Oh well. :)

Wow Eddie - that's really great!!! I love it! Looks like a lot of tiny pieces! I don't see any wonkiness!

How cute!! (And wonkiness gives it character....)

I know that pattern as Ribbon - it makes a great border, too!

I think your hotpad is great. I need to take a few hours and dedicate it to making practical things I could really use. Waaaaaay prettier than anything I've seen in the stores :)

Very nice, Eddie! About the wonkiness, that shows it was made by a person and not a machine!

Very Eddie! I like your hot pad

It's beautiful! Very handy too. I need one of those!

ooooh, really nice! I bet those peices are tiny!

Nice job! I make all my own hotpads because the ones you buy are slippery and not big enough. In fact, I just washed 2 tonight.

I love it Eddie!!! It is a great way to use the Boston Blocks! I will have to use this pattern in my stuff. It would be a great one for the checkbook covers and billfolds. Thanks for the inspiration!

That's very attractive, I really like the colors and prints you put together!
Nice size, too.

Don't you just love that book, eddie? I got it recently too and have planned to make some of those butterfly potholders for my mil and my neighbor kitty. They both love butterflies. I was thinking I could make a topper for a towel holder out of one and make them a set.

I love the bright blue you sued for your hot dish pad. It is so happy. I don't see wonky anywhere, even after you pointed it out. We are our own worst critics.

Enyoy using your work, you can be proud of it. That was a good idea and great size for it. What is next matching table mats?

Really like it, Eddie. Making it longer was a great idea! Anyway, it looks wonderful.

You are way to hard on yourself. I can't see anything wonky. It looks great to me. I really love the larger size too.
