Quilted Notebook Cover

4 Attachment(s)
Spent the entire weekend making 2 of these notebook covers for a swap and weight loss challenge. They are very Florida-ish....and that's where they are headed. Last year I made a large bag with these fabrics and this was extra. My stippling needs improvement and my binding corners were not cooperating at 2:30am Sat nite. Hopefully, the recipients won't critique them too much. I also ME the label. I always have fun making swap gifts.

I like this idea. Notebooks get roughed up floating around in a purse. Great idea!

I didn't use a pattern, just winged it. If I remember when I get home, I will post the instructions in the tutorials. I've never done that, so it might take me awhile to figure it out.

Very nice. Your black binding really sets the colors off. Beautiful!

Great design....especially that it closes with that big button. I made a quilted cover for my Quilt Guild notebook but it does not close like yours....loose stuff just falls out! Looking forward to a tutorial!

I posted the tutorial. Apparently, I should read my own notes. I originally saw this on Fons & Porter and I made some changes. It's been a while and I didn't remember. I hope you can understand what I wrote.

It looks Florida-ish. I'm sure your friend will like it and appreciate your hard work.

Great idea...my notebooks look disasterous after floating in my bag. May give this a try. You did a lovely job with these....as much as I meander through life....translating it via machine into a quilt has me in a tizz....yours is way better than I can do:)

I like that they have the tab to close, very sharp
