Favorite Fabrics asked the question whether we had ever made a quilted tablecloth. This was the first quilt I had made in nearly 25 years. I have a nice little dark wood table in my kitchen that was getting scratched up, so I made the quilted tablecloth to protect it. This quilt is easy to wash and has held up for over a year on my table and shows no signs of wear at this time except for a little fading of the fabric.
Shown with the last of my summer flowers Very dense quilting helps with the wear and tear...And Bella likes it too! |
That's beautiful! And your stitching shows up so well with all the light coming in.

That is really very pretty!

I wondered about a quilted table cloth. I have a cross stitch that I think would make a better table cloth than a quilt .

I saw a thread about quilts for tablecloths yesterday and didn't think much of the idea. Having seen yours I am rethinking that position! It's very stylish yet sort of down home and I like it a lot.
