I made a matching tote bag to put my sisters quilt in out of the scraps left over. I did not follow a specific pattern - just read several directions and took what I liked out of each and combined.

The blue jean tote my DD brought over jeans she was going to donate and asked if I could make a tote for her. She picked the green fabric as a contrast. It too, is a product out of my head with no instructions. The top of the bag is weak and having issues staying upright. (I did not put batting or fusible fleece in as it was getting heavy and thick just with the denim. ) Any ideas on how to stiffen the top up without opening seams??

Thanks for looking :)

Inside jean tote - she asked for pockets from jeans on the inside of the tote. Bag has a total of 7 pockets.

How fun is that that you used the jean pockets on the inside of the tote. They both look great. Oh how fun they will be to use

The bags look great!!!

Suggestion to make the top stiffer with out opening the seams: HEAVY starch.

What a great way to present your sister's quilt with a coordinating tote bag! Also love your denim tote, especially the way you added the jean pockets!!! Thanks for sharing!
