I finally got the pics downloaded from my trip to CA. I had a great time visiting my sisters during some very hot weather. Since all of us are not as spry as we once were, we decided to stay in with the a/c and I taught them some quilting moves. They both already sew and quilt, but on a very limited basis. My one sister only doing embroidery squares and the other mostly flannel and fleece either in large applique or 9 patch. They both do pillowcase stitching and turn for finishing, so I showed them how to do binding, too.
My sister Nelma decided she wanted to make an I Spy quilt so here she is with her project. She has it all done except putting the binding on. I think she did a wonderful job, and I loved her original idea of adding the solid color strips for learning colors and defining the I Spy blocks. showing her quilt proudly the back of her quilt displaying the quilt I made her at the relay for life event with her team she and I at the relay for life, a proud moment with my survivor sister |
Sounds like a wonderful time.

How wonderful to get time like that for your family and share your knowledge.

The bond between sisters is truly wonderful!
My sis and I used to fight like cats (when we were small) but now we're bonded at the hip and brain, even though we live 750 miles apart. She is my biggest fan, and I am hers. |
What fun!
