Love this machine!!! I do buy the pre-threaded bobbins. the machine is SWEET!! Its amazing how quickly you can get a quilt done. I crank it up to 72 stitch per inch...I think that is what they call it. anyways...I am in heaven...

Wow that is incredible. I thought it would be big and cumbersome but look at how small it is. Is it called a sweet sixteen ans who makes it? Is it expensive? WOW WOW WOW!!

nice set up and pretty quilt

carolaug 05-10-2014 10:53 AM

done quilting it...now to piece together scraps from the left overs and make a binding. Maybe tomorrow... The sweet sixteen does not take up a lot of room. I also bought it to a retreat with friends last week. the table folds up, the hubby had to carry it and the machine though. It also could be easily stored. I would have loved a long arm but just do not have the space for it. The price is around 5k I am sure it depends on where you live.

I have a sweet sixteen and I love mine to! Happy quilting to you!

I am so glad you are having fun! I like the quilt you are quilting too. I have been drooling over the sweet sixteen as it is smaller than the bigger long arms. Need to win the lottery I guess!

I am thinking about buying one too. Need to go to Paducah next year and check out all the mid-arms. Your quilt looks great and I am glad to hear a good report about the machine.

Totally love my Sweetie as well. Excellent investment!

WOW, glad you like it, I had shoulder problems using mine. Then traded it in for a Juki and quilting frame , now I can quilt with out the pain. My family say don't standstill to long or Mom will quilt you. Love the quilt your working on. Thanks for sharing.

I love the quilt; and love the background pic too--you and I shopped at the same house parties, I guess. Mine is in my dining room--and my quilting machine is a Gammill with about a million yards of folded fabric on the wall behind it out in my sewing room. Someday someone will show me how to post a picture, and I'll be doing it on a regular basis on this board--my favorite place to have my coffee and wake up every morning.

The quilt is beautiful and I'm jealous that you have a Sweet Sixteen to quilt with. Even if I had the room, I couldn't afford it since we are on SS, so our budget is very tight. However, I have my Janome and lots of fabrics from the stash I made while I was still able to work.

Love it. BrendaK

Great job on a very pretty quilt!

fangman 05-12-2014 07:24 AM

The machine looks like it would be a great sit down machine.

cathyvv 05-12-2014 07:38 AM

Pretty quilt, great set up. I have a HQ16 on a frame that I love, love, love! The machines are very simple and definitely built to last and very low mainenance/reliable. Enjoy!

wolph33 05-12-2014 07:46 AM

Looks like fun, great quilt

knitwitrosie 05-12-2014 09:01 AM

Gorgeous!! Love your machine too!! I'm just getting started with quilting, and already I'm drooling over all the mid-arm and long-arm machines I see here :)

Celine Fiderio 05-12-2014 09:20 AM

I know I'm not supposed to be jealous but I am...Lol. Your quilt is beautiful, enjoy your machine.

matraina 05-12-2014 11:14 AM

Wow, that's something else!

hudgoddess 05-12-2014 11:36 AM

I still don't have room even for a second machine, but for those of you who want one but don't have the money-first be sure to look on the board's For Sale/Trade and ISO categories for other board members selling their machines. And there's a couple of places to buy used long arms and mid arms online as well. www.longarmuniversity.com has a "used machines for sale" section.

Love the way you have it set up
